Pua Magasiva born August 10, 1980 (age 27) is an actor, who is perhaps known for his roles as Shane Clarke, the Red Ranger from Power Rangers: Ninja Storm, and Nurse Vinnie Kruse in New Zealand soap Shortland Street.

He was born in Apia, Samoa, but raised in Wellington, New Zealand since he was two years old. He is the younger brother of famous New Zealand actor, Robbie Magasiva. It was Robbie who inspired Pua to become an actor, after being signed up with an acting agency and acquiring small roles. In 1999, Pua made a minor appearance on Shortland Street as Elvis Iosefa, a relative of Louie Iosefa (playe by Shimpal Lelisi). Then in 2001, he landed a role in a six-part Māori language television series called Aroha. The series went on to screen at the International Film Festival in Auckland, receiving critical praise. Finally in 2003, Pua made the leading roles in both Power Rangers: Ninja Storm and Shortland Street. He stayed on Shortland Street until 2006. By then, he played the title character in the comedy film Sione's Wedding, which starred his brother Robbie and other members of the Naked Samoans. In 2007, Pua appeared in the horror film 30 Days of Night.

Outside his work on television and film, Pua has acted in theatre, including Two Days in Dream in 2003 (written by Mario Gaoa, member of the Naked Samoans, and directed by Colin Mitchell). Another play that Pua acted in was Sex with Strangers, which was written by Mitchell, though Two Days in Dream was well received by critics. It is believed that Pua will make an appearance in theatre sometime in 2008. He has also appeared on three Lift Plus commercials in New Zealand.

Shane is slowly discovering his natural leadership abilities as a Power Ranger. It took a one-on-one battle with a monster for Shane to realize that he needs to rely on his friends to defend the planet. An avid skateboader, he loves a good airborne maneuver, which is apparent by the high flying ninja techniques he has studied at the Wind Ninja Academy. After the academy was destroyed by Lothor, Shane and his friends were given Wind Morphers to protect the planet. As the Red Wind Ranger, Shane fights with the power of the sky and the stars on his side, and pilots the Hawk Zord.

Shane lost his powers in the final battle against Lothor, who stole all of the Ranger powers for himself before being defeated. After graduating from Wind Ninja Academy, Shane stayed as an instructor.

As a child, Shane met an alien in peril, and formed a bond with it when he saved it from an alien bounty hunter. Years later, the alien returned and endowed him with Battlizer Armor.
